Remember Me

This video shows scenes from the movie, The Passion of the Christ.

I was listening to this song by Mark Schultz this morning, Remember Me. I felt so touched by the Holy Spirit. I felt God speaking to me that this is His heart cry to us "Remember Me". I thought of all the times I forget about Him.

Often prayer is just another thing on our to do list and we get up and go about our day and forget about Him. When we walk by our Bible sitting on the table and we just don't have time to pick it up and read it, we forget about Him. When we drive down the road in a hurry to get to where we are going and pass by the beautiful trees filled with the color of fall or when a beautiful sunset fills the sky and we barely notice, we forget about Him. When we pick up our children from Children's Church and don't notice their smiling faces or thank the ones that have ministered to them all morning teaching them about the Lord, we forget about Him. I could go on and on because there are just too many times I have forgotten about Him.

The interesting thing is that He never forgets about us. His Word says "Never will I leave you; Never will forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Knowing that, shouldn't we make a point throughout our day to remember Him? His desire is to be in a relationship with us so let's walk close beside Him today.

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1Thessalonians 5:16,17,18
