You wake and the sun is shining. You rise from your bed with a healthy, strong body. You have gas in your car, money in your pocket, and a kiss on your cheek from those you love, and a song in your heart from God. You are at peace with all those around you. You blissfully soar through the day accomplishing everything you set to do. When your day looks like this, it’s easy to trust God.
If your anything like me, life doesn’t go that smoothly. It’s one of the reasons I asked God to give me more faith and trust in Him. It’s easy to trust Him when life is great but much harder when life is completely opposite from what you would like. I want to be at peace in my spirit no matter what is going on around me. I want to be confident that I rest in the arms of the Almighty (Matthew 11:28-30) that my help comes from the maker of heaven and earth (Ps. 146:6), and I am the apple of His eye (Ps. 17:8). I go back and remind myself all that God has brought me through in the past so I won’t fret about the future.
In my prayer journal entry on December 30, 2010, I wrote "Every concern I had- relationships, finances, my husband's job, Mom's Connection- God saw me through and had everything in His hands! God is faithful! God is my provider! God is trustworthy!" It is my hope and prayer that you will trust God with whatever you are going through today!
